Om MaSwe

Det centrala för MaSwe är att hjälpa människor i Malawi att bli självförsörsörjande. I det arbetet utgår vi ifrån vilka önskemål som finns hos människorna själva. Det är också viktigt att investera i konstruktiv hjälp. Miljöaspekterna är därför viktiga. Det som var stora skogar för 20 år sedan, är idag ödsliga fält med ett eller två träd, eftersom man eldar med ved då man lagar mat. Människor på landet har ingen el. MaSwe är en religiöst och politiskt obunden organisation.

MaSwe startade 2005 efter en larmrapport om hungersnöd i Malawi. Vår ordförande Sydney skulle åka till Malawi. Arbetskollegor samlade då in 3500 kr för att skicka med honom. Sydney  valde att betala skolavgifter till föräldralösa barn som kommit in på gymnasieskola. 2006 registrerade vi MaSwe hos Skatteverket. Sedan dess har vi fortsatt hjälpa föräldralösa barn på två skolor, sammanlagt 85 elever. 2007 fick vi kontakt med den kvinnoorganisation som vi samarbetar med idag. About Maswe

The most important aim for MaSwe is to help people to be self sufficient.In accomplishing this,MaSwe start by finding out peoples' vision and help them to invest constructively and save the environment.Today,you can only see few trees where there was big forests 20 years ago since people resort to use firewood for cooking food.It is because the majority of the people in the country cannot afford electricity. MaSwe is a religious and political free organisation.

MaSwe started 2005 after a starvationreport in Malawi. Our chairman Sydney had already planed to go to Malawi. Workmates donated 3500 Swedish kr so he could take with him. He chose to pay schoolfees for orphans who had been elected to go to Secondary School. 2006 MaSwe was registered at the Swedish Tax authorities as a helporganization. Since the we have continued to help 85 orphans at two schools. 2007 we got in contact with the womenorganization as our local partners in Malawi. To see what we are doing, look at our photogallery.

Malawi is a sub saharan nation located in the southern part of afrika and with a total population of about 13 million.
